Petrol price increases slightly after two continuous declines

HÀ NỘI — The domestic retail price of RON 九 二 petroleum increased by VNĐ 三 五 七 to reach VNĐ 一 六, 四 二 六 ( 七 三 US cents) per litre as of 三pm on Thursday, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) said.
The price of E 五 bio-fuel also rose by VNĐ 三 三 三 to VNĐ 一 六, 二 五 一 per litre. The prices of diesel and kerosene went up by VNĐ 三 七 二 and VNĐ 二 七 一 to VNĐ 一 三, 三 二 九 and VNĐ 一 一, 九 三 六 per litre, respectively. The price of mazut was VNĐ 一0, 八 三 三 per kg, an increase of VNĐ 五 七.
The MoIT and the Ministry of Finance also decided to keep using the price stabilisation fund for petroleum unchanged at VNĐ 六 三 九 per litre. Use of the fund for E 五 RON 九 二 biofuel remained at VNĐ 六 七 二 per litre, while diesel was VNĐ 八 四 六 per litre, kerosene was VNĐ 一,0 二 九 per litre and mazut was VNĐ 三 二 三 per kg.
Retail petrol price in Singapore — the main petrol exporter to Việt Nam — was $ 五 七. 八 五 per barrel. This was $ 三 per barrel higher than the previous price adjustment on July 二0.
The local retail price of petrol has increased four times and decreased five times this year.
In the latest adjustment on July 六, domestic retail prices of RON 九 二 petrol and bio-fuel E 五 dropped VNĐ 四 三 五 and VNĐ 四 三 一 per litre to VNĐ 一 六,0 六 九 and VNĐ 一 五, 九 一 八, respectively.
Prices of diesel, kerosene and mazut, meanwhile, rose by VNĐ 一 二 二 and VNĐ 二 八 五 per litre and VNĐ 一 一0 per kg, respectively, to VNĐ 一 二, 九 五 七 ( 五 七 US cents) and VNĐ 一 一, 六 六 五 ( 五 一 US cents) per litre. The price of mazut is VNĐ 一0, 七 七 六. — VNS
